Expert Solution
Step 1

Hormones are the chemical molecules which acts as a chemical messenger for different body tissues and are secreted by the different glands in our body and released into the blood stream and they travels to the targeted sites and helps in growth, development and metabolism of the body.

Step 2

Functions:

Follicle stimulating hormone: this hormone has different function in males and females. In females it stimulates the ovarian follicles and helps in releasing the egg during ovulation. In males it acts on the seroli cells and stimulates the production of the sperms in the male bodies.

Luteinising hormone: hormone has different function in males and females. In females it helps to produce oestradiol and also help to tear the follicle during ovulation. In males it stimulates the leydig cells to produce the testosterone hormone.

Inhibin: inhibin is the hormone produced different cells in males and females. In females it is produced by granulose cells and in males it is produced by the sertoli cells. The major function of inhibin to inhibit the follicle stimulating hormone which is produced by the pituitary gland.
