Question

Solve the exact differential equation:

(2x+1+2xy) dx + (x+  4y3) dy = 0

Expert Solution
Step 1
  •    (2x+1+2xy ) dx + (x2 + 4y3) dy = 0
  • on comparing with   Mdx + Ndy  , we get ,
  •      M = (2X+1+2XY)  ,    N = (X2+ 4Y3)

Now, partial differenciate M w.r.t. Y and partial differenciate w.r.t. X , We get,

  •     MY= 2X      ,     NX = 2X

This is the exact differential equation .
