Read and reply. Madson said( Social structure allows us to connect with others in our society. This puts limits on peoples behavior, this is a need for the survival of a society. Social structure and individuality are related to each other. As an individual you have rolls to play and you set expectations. You are a part of society. As you grow up you have values, different attitudes, and behaviors towards the people around you. There are limits because you grow up to have similar values of the people around you and if everyone has the same feelings then theres no room to grow and have your own idea. There are boundaries created that define a group as more powerful or less powerful. There are good affects and bad affects but you cant avoid the inevitable. In a community everyone works together to make things run smooth. So as an individual you do your part to allow your community to be happy and efficient.
