So in my iphone, I can choose which apps get saved into icloud storage "Apps using Icloud" and can see the contents of those app through icloud.com. I just now noticed the "Access icloud data on the web" button down below. I didnt have this enabled before and was still able to log on to icloud and see my photos and junk. If i do have this enabled, what difference does it make?
