Kidneys are our osmoregulatory organ.
The renal corpuscle is located in the renal cortex and is made up of capillaries known as glomerulus and also has a capsule called the glomerular or Bowman’s capsule.
The renal tubule is a long and convoluted structure which emerges from glomerulus and is divided into 3 sections. The proximal convoluted tubule ( PCT ) , the loop of Henle ( nephrotic loop ) and the distal convoluted tubule ( DCT ) are the three parts of the renal tubule. The DCT empties its contents into collecting ducts.
