#### Objective:
To measure the mass of various samples using an electronic balance and calculate the average mass and deviations.
**Instructions:**
1. **Preparation:**
- Place a piece of weighing paper on the pan of the balance.
- Press the zero (tare) button so the balance registers 0.000 g.
2. **Weighing the Samples:**
- Carefully place one of the samples on the weighing paper.
- Record its mass in the table below.
- Carefully remove the sample.
- Repeat this procedure for the remaining samples.
3. **Calculations:**
- Determine the average mass and average deviation of the samples.
- Show all work for calculations.
- Record the individual masses of each item in the table.
