I chose these 3 because they feel important to me and are important topics. Inequality has been an issue for a long tỉme due toslavery and Jim Crow laws. Inequality means the phenomenon of unequal and/or unjust distribution of resources and opportunities among members ofa given society. Many people still suffer today because of racial inequality. Including friends and family I know. This stood out to me because thishappens every single day whether it's a school ,home, the park or the store. It happens everywhere and it shouldn't be happening because we are allhuman beings. We should all be equal but because people feel like they are better than us because at one point in time we were slaves they feel likethey deserve to treat us this way because they are better when they aren't. Racial inequality brings a lot of trauma to people because they feel like theycan't really do anything they want to do or have a certain amount of freedom like others just because of the çolor of their skin the way they look, theway they speak, or the way they dress. The Second concept that I chose from the PowerPoint was diversity. I chose this because diversity also has ahuge impact on the world today besides inequality. Diversity is the practice or quality of including or involving people from a range of different socialand ethnic backgrounds and of different genders, sexual orientation, etc. This country is very diverse because there are many different types of races,ethnicities, languages and we have women, men and children. Throughout the years diversity has grown a lot. Diversity stood out to me because welive in New York City and it is filled with a lot of different types of people. If you go to Manhattan specifically time square you will see Russian, German„Asians , Hispanics etc. There's so many different types of people you will see & so many different languages you will hear. From the PowerPoint I cantell that diversity comes from migration and immigration meaning people from around the world migrate to our country whether it's legal or not andthat's how diversity started. The Final concept that I found important is feminism. Feminism is a range of social movements, political movements andideologies that aim to define and establish the political, economic, personal, and social equality of the sexes. I find this very important becausefeminism was created to show the inequality women face against men or vice versa. The goal of this was to give opportunities to women, with a focuson suffrage. In " before there was intersectional feminism there was a combahee river collective " article that speaks about how women got the right tohave their own credit cards and before that they had to have a husband or somebody sign off for them. That is an example of not having feminism. Intoday's world us women have a lot more rights and freedom compared to other generations. Although we do still suffer when it comes to job salariesthe more we protest the better outcome we have but why should we have to protest to get the treatment we deserve?
