raugue ng easures that may be taken to increase the resistance to fatigue of metallic materials. Ple so briefly explain how each of these measures improves fatigue performance.

Introduction:
When a material is subjected to cyclic stresses and strains at high-stress concentration areas, fatigue is described as a process of increasing localized plastic deformation that, after a sufficient number of variations, may result in cracks or complete breakage.
Metal fatigue, a weakening condition brought on by repeated stresses or loadings on metal parts of machines, vehicles, or structures, eventually leads to a fracture under a stress much weaker than that required to cause a fracture in a single application.
The tendency of a material to fracture through increasing brittle cracking under repeated alternating or cyclic pressures is known as fatigue failure. When the stress value is less than the yield stress limit, fatigue failure happens.
