1. What do you think the purpose of the clock is?
The main purpose of the clock in the given RS NAND Flip-Flop is that if the value of the clock is 0, it represents the
positive NAND fate RS Flip-Flop which requires logic 0 to flip or change the state from Q to Q. However, if the value of
the clock is 1, it represents the negative NAND gate RS Flip-Flop which requires logic 1 to flip of change the state of the
Q to Q. That means that the main purpose of this clock is used to set the time period where that particular RS NAND
Flip-Flop works.
2. Is there an illegal state? (yes or no)
Yes, there is a illegal state that is S = 1 and 'R = 1. This means irrespective of the clock value, if both the values of S and R
are 1 then that state is illegal state. The illegal state is also known as the forbidden state.
3. Is there a hold state? If so, under which input conditions does it exist?
4. How does the output of this circuit compare with standard RS flip-flop?
