Note: I tried working out this problem, but get stuck at part a. I learned to use a table to find the intervals of increase or decrease but cannot understand why I keep getting the opposite of what the answer should be. Please explain your steps so I can learn how you get increasing or decreasing for f(x) in the table. Thank you.
