Can you please help me figure out what I did wrong? I know the mean is 5.5 So I subtracted 5 from all of the scores (4,5,6,& 7), leaving me with -1.5, -0.5, 0.5, & 2.25, right? But when I add them up to get the variation, I get 0. And since the variation is 0, I can't square root it for the deviation, so I put another zero. I knew the zero's were probably incorrect but after several tries of trying to figure out what I did wrong, I am about to scream and pull my hair out! Please help
