Question
A group of students is in London learning English. Mr. Clever, the guide of your group, proposes you to visit The London Eye. Although some are afraid to ride the gigantic Ferris wheel of the millennium, others think it can be fun, and that the views and photos from above will be worth it. In the end they decide to walk along the Thames until they reach the famous Ferris wheel and there the group is divided between the daring ones who go up and the most fearful: Fernando, Clara and, of course, Mr. Clever, who are waiting downstairs. To entertain the wait, Mr. Clever asks them if anyone gets to see the Bridge Tower. He tells them that he is 2.25 km away in a straight line and, coincidentally, he takes a small goniometer out of his pocket. Measure the angle with it and please tell me which is the Tower's height. Arianna, an Italian girl in the group, asks the guide to leave her the goniometer, and tells the others that she sees the highest point of the tower with an angle of 1.98. What is the approximate height of the tower? How can it be calculated? When a few minutes have passed, the Ferris wheel suddenly stops due to a breakdown and screams begin to be heard from the baskets. The boys observe that the basket in which their classmates go has been in position A. To keep the boys busy while the problem is fixed, Mr. Clever, without losing his British phlegm, comments: It seems like the London Eye is not working very well today! Hey guys, can you tell your friends what height they are at? Fernando and Clara try to solve the problem. The only data they have are those indicated at the entrance of it: maximum height 135 m and it has 30 baskets. Can you help them? Only use the formulas in the photo
