Mobile Phone Survey found that at least four out of five working-age
Filipinos (15 years old and above) went out of their house 1-3 times in the
past week (before the interview) to do essential activities, most often to buy
food.
The survey asked, "Nitong nakaraang pitong (7) araw, ilang beses po
kayo lumabas ng bahay upang gawin ang mga sumusunod? [In the past
seven (7) days, how many times did you go out of the house to do the
following?]". Three essential activities were read out to the respondents in
random order.
Grouping the responses, 81% went out of their house 1-3 times to buy
food (cooked or uncooked), 98% went out 1-3 times to buy medicine, and
98% went out 1-3 times for financial transactions.
On average, respondents went out 2.6 times to buy food, 1.3 times to
