need assistance with revising with what I have so far with these chemical balance equations: 1. Aluminum reacts with copper (ii) bromide to produce aluminum bromide and copper metal: Al + CuBr2 --> AlBr3 + Cu2 (single displacement) 2. Silver nitrate reacts with copper metal to produce copper (ii) nitrate and silver metal. Ag(NO3) + Cu --> 2Cu(NO3) + Ag (single displacement) 3. Magnesium metal reacts with hydrochloric acid to make hydrogen gas and magnesium chloride. Mg + HCl --> H(g) + MgCl (combustion)
I need assistance with revising with what I have so far with these chemical balance equations:
1. Aluminum reacts with copper (ii) bromide to produce aluminum bromide and copper metal:
Al + CuBr2 --> AlBr3 + Cu2 (single displacement)
2. Silver nitrate reacts with copper metal to produce copper (ii) nitrate and silver metal.
Ag(NO3) + Cu --> 2Cu(NO3) + Ag (single displacement)
3. Magnesium metal reacts with hydrochloric acid to make hydrogen gas and magnesium chloride.
Mg + HCl --> H(g) + MgCl (combustion)
4. Silver nitrate and sodium chloride produce silver chloride and sodium nitrate.
Ag(NO3) + NaCl --> AgCl + Na(NO3) (?)
5. Calcium metal reacts with water to produce calcium hydroxide and hydrogen gas.
Ca(s) + H2O --> Ca(OH) + 2H(g) (combustion)

Thank you for your explanation, I'm however confused by the multiplication of each. For example, the first one mentions x 3 to CuBr2 and x 2 to AlBr3, this process of cancelling out to create even moles is the balancing? I also wanted to know what the proper classification was for those three you answered? I felt like I had the first two wrong, I wasn't sure if they were single or double replacement.
