The skeletal muscle is also referred to as voluntary muscle, and is involved mainly in running, sprinting and other types of exercises. They are attached to bones by tendons, and they produce all the movements of body parts in relation to each other. Other muscles like smooth and cardiac muscles are involuntary that is not under our control. Both skeletal muscle and cardiac muscle are striated and is long, thin and multinucleated fibres. The skeletal muscle fibres are bound together by connective tissue and communicate via nerves and blood vessels.
