Expert Solution
Step 1

Whenever there is a merger between two companies then the company which is being acquired is under great pressure.

For example the IT employees may be familiar to certain operating system that their organisation used but this company requires other operating system.

This creates a certain insecure feelings to the employee. If the acquiring company does not require any big change to the company then the company's IT employees may be safe. But if there is a lot to be changed then there will be a complete changes to the IT employee work.

The plans that needs to be done is how the two companies will be merged. For example instead of recreating one Company's infrastructure, both the company should be broken down to an initial stage and then recreate it again. This will provide a better prospective for the future.

Understanding between the IT team of the two company will help employees to understand the changes that is being made and for what valid reason. Setting up a date to complete the process will allow the IT team to get a frame within which all the work needs to be done. They should plan the timetable for the merging process, what will be the transaction process involved in the new procedure
