Introduction :-
Meandering rivers only have one channel compared to Braided rivers and makes it way or meanders across the floodplain. It erodes the banks outside of the curves while depositing sediment on the insides of curves (point bar deposits).Fine-grained debris is deposited on the floodplain as the river floods. Fine-grained material dominates meandering river system deposits because the floodplain is much wider than the channel; coarse-grained channel deposits are usually minimal.
* Point bar deposits are sequences that emerge on the inside of the loops or meanders and hence resulting in deposition features or morphology .
