As you walk through Gate 4, you realize that Gate 5 is nowhere to be found. In front of you lies an expansive desert as far as you can see. You look at your map and see that there is an alert for this area. The warning states that this desert is almost entirely quicksand, with only one path safely through the desert. That path is defined by a piecewise function but requires that some parameters be determined before your computer can generate the plot. Thinking back on what you learned in calculus, you realize that your path will need to be continuous. You just need to tell your computer what the parameters below should be in order to create this continuous path. What parameters do you give your computer? A Number f(x)= 2, 2x + A, Bx - 3, 10x + C, Dx + 11, 3, B Number x < -2 -2 2 C Number D Number

Maybe I do not understand enough of calculus to intelligently understand what was written, but I expected to see step by step solutions as to what the answers are that will make the path continous. This answer that was provided to me does not look like it was calculated. I have limited amount of "ask an expert" chances and responses like these uses of my credits and doesn't give me any insight on how I would solve solvethe problem. Can someone please help me, I need to know the steps involved so next time I can follow them on my own. Also is possible, can you please ensure that your response fit in the legible area of the screen. It is hard to read and follow when some of the answers are off screen. TIA
