Question
Karl Marx believed when people go to work they are selling a hour of their lives for a wage. This is an hour the human will never get back. The working class works hours for pitiful wages to produce products and services they will never be able to afford. As a result, they become alienated from each other and alienated by the wealthier classes. Marx's solution was for the the working class to own their work. Meaning they own the Means of Production. In this concept they own the factories where they work. Watch this short clip: Karl Marx on Alienation In a different approach Max Weber believed the worker can advance through creating innovation, hardworking, dedicated to outcome, and reinvestment in efficiencies. These positive attributes allow anyone to move the socioeconomic ladder. Watch this short clip: Max Weber and the Protestant Ethic Which ideology to most side with and why?
