1) Draw separate free body diagrams for each block, include separately net force
vector for each block.
2) For each free body diagram, choose the coordinate system carefully so it that points
in the same direction as the net force!
3) For both blocks, write out algebraic expressions for Newton's 2nd law in component
form.
4) You should end up with a system of equations to solve. Use a method of your
choosing to solve.
