This section should convey the reasons for doing the experiment, e.g. "To gain experience with the technique, and to ....." Materials and Methods Materials - List the materials used. Methods - Usually best presented as a sequence of numbered steps, this section tells what you did. The section should be written in past tense. Results - This section presents the results and includes labelled color drawings. You do not discuss or interpret the results in this section, but clearly label the drawing. Discussion and Conclusions - In this section results are discussed and/or interpreted. Did the results turn out as expected? Why did the results turn out as expected? If there were errors in your methods or materials that affected your results, what were those errors?
