INTRODUCTION In today’s economy-driven capitalistic world, flights play an important role in enabling transport between countries, encouraging economic growth, promoting travel and tour, and further help multiple countries to connect. International travel has been an important part of our civilization, mainly serving as the means of trades via ships sailing on the seas. Even though shipping via the sea is mostly reliable, it takes a lot of time to move from a part of the world to another, especially before breakthroughs like the Suez Canal were built and opened. Furthermore, ships have a risk of being hijacked by pirates and sinking due to multiple reasons, including human errors. This brings us to when the first commercial flight was introduced. Today, the airline industry is one of the biggest industries in the world, serving millions of customers and receiving billions of dollars in revenue per year. However, commercial airline travel was not cheap back when it was first introduced, and this has caused it to be de-facto restricted to only the upper class and high middle-income class that can pay for the exorbitant ticket prices. However, with the advancement of airline travel, multiple scientific and technological breakthroughs, and furthermore enhanced by the advent of low-cost airlines, air travel became considerably far more affordable for the normal person in the middle-income class. This in turn popularizes air travel to the masses and made ship travel obsolete eventually along the way. However, serving thousands of customers per minute is not an easy task for an airline to handle. Therefore, a suitable computerized system capable of serving a mass number of customers at one time must be made available in order to accommodate the continuously rising demands. A ticket management system could be implemented in order to ease the workload of the staff working on the flight booking counter. This would not only help increase the productivity and life quality of workers but would also help in increasing positive customer experience and making sure that every customer is satisfied with the services provided by the airline. In order to create a system that can do its job managing customers’ boarding passes, a lot of information is needed and required to ensure that the system can function optimally and perfectly. Such information includes how the program works and how the information flows from a process to another. For starters, the first information needed are the name of the customer, the destination, and finally the date and time of flight. This information is then matched with existing flights and their prices provided by the airline. The matched information is then combined with the information the customer provided to generate a ticket and invoice. The customer is also added to a database of people booking the flight to ensure that the customer’s place in the flight is reserved. A confirmation message is then sent to the customer, alongside the purchase invoice and boarding pass to be shown when boarding the flight. PROBLEM STATEMENT Based on studies that have been conducted, entry bookings for flight tickets sometimes deviate from what is booked by customers who want to board the plane to their desired destination. the existing system is not able to identify bookings made by customers properly. therefore, the existing system needs to be upgraded. Using a new flight ticket management system will be able to solve the problem. Secondly, the charge calculations performed still use the old method of calculation and take time to complete one calculation after another. With the new management system, the calculation and displayed total charges can be done automatically. Sometimes it is quite difficult for us to calculate the discounts given to customers who book flight tickets with large bookings. this will result in incorrectly giving the actual price to the customer and may result in losses. Moreover, with the new system, the amount of profit earned can be easily calculated. Lastly, daily calculations performed using old management systems are sometimes inaccurate and will display incorrect amounts. With this new flight ticket management system, the calculations will be more accurate and will always display the correct amount. _____________________________ Just answer this question only What objective and scope for this project ?
