Simple Squamous Epithelium
Description
Human simple squamous epithelium (from the kidney) stained with hematoxylin and
eosin. The squamous cells form the lining of glomerular capsules. Darkly stained nuclei
are flattened within the very thin squamous cells and often push the opposite sides of
the cell membrane farther apart to make space for the nucleus within the cell.
