Question 2: Is there a way to predict level of hyperchromic shift based on the auxochromic group or do we need to know the chromophore? Question 3: Are there known examples of chromophore and Auxochromic groups that provide various molar extinction or absorptivity or absorbance changes in liquids that would help to correlate what may be happening in a solid plastic matrix?
