Introduction
Due to the fact that people are unable to purchase goods that are more expensive after taxes than they would have been otherwise, taxes result in deadweight loss. Deadweight loss is the economic loss of anything favourable brought on by the tax. Deadweight loss is not exclusively caused by a product's tax. When the tax burden is greater than what is achievable if people did not seek employment or employment with higher income, people are less inclined to desire and pursue employment.
