I'm new to prolog and I'm having difficulties in implementing the following mergesort algorithm. I retrieved bits and pieces of this algorithm online from various sources and put them together. Parts of it may be incorrect but nonetheless I'm trying to get it to return a list in sorted order but it keeps returning false. % sample.pl mergesort(unsortedlist, sortedlist) :- split(unsortedlist, A, B), mergesort(A, Ra), mergesort(B, Rb), merge(Ra, Rb, sortedlist). split([H|T], [H|A], B) :- split(T, B, A). merge([H|T], B, [H|A]) :- merge(T, B, A). % console command ?- mergesort([3,0,6,2,5],X). false. % I want it to return the list in sorted order using the mergesort above
