Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are the diseases caused by an infection, which is transmitted through the sexual contact, caused by viruses, bacteria, or parasites. Copper-T is an intrauterine device that contains copper. It is also known as the intrauterine coil. It is used for the birth control and contraception.
Copper-T is a method of contraception to prevent the implantation of zygote inside the uterus. Copper-T is placed in the uterus using a narrow tube. It stops the sperm and egg meeting and it also changes the lining of the uterus. This process prevents the sticking of a fertilized egg to the lining of uterus and thus prevents the start of a pregnancy.
