I know this is a transcritical bifurcation, but I'm trying to verify it by writing it in its normal form:  rx-x2, but I can't seem to get it to work.  I write out the taylor series, but keep getting rx-x+x2-x3 and so on.   Can rx+x2 also be considered a normal form for a transcritical bifurcation?
