Follow-up Question
I get the meaning of subscripts much better now, but I don't see how Sn(1-r) = 1- r^(n+1)..... unless we are just assuming they are equal.
Can it be proven with a show of balancing each side (like dividing both sides by (1-r)) and getting r = r?
What is the proper way to prove this?
