how
how did james seaver's perception of indians differ from Mary Jemison's perception of indians?
Mary Jemison, a white lady who was kidnapped by Native Americans in Pennsylvania during the Seven Years' War and adopted into the Seneca tribe, writes about the American Revolution from the viewpoint of a Native American. At the Council of Oswego, the Senecas were eventually convinced to support the British after initially promising their neutrality. Indians would fight Indians in the impending struggle between the Senecas and General Sullivan's oncoming colonial soldiers, which would be disastrous for Jemison's new tribe. After Jemison told James Seaver about her experience, her book was published in 1824 and more than 100,000 copies were sold.
