compartment?
The cell is surrounded by a plasma membrane that is selectively permeable. The phospholipids present in plasma membranes which are amphipathic in nature. They consist of both water-fearing (hydrophobic) and water-loving hydrophilic regions. Due to hydrophobic nature, the plasma membrane helps the movement of selective particles through the membrane.
Facilitated diffusion:
It is a type of diffusion where a molecule moves from higher concentration to lower concentration region done by the carrier. It is a passive movement of molecules along with the concentration.
Osmosis is the movement of the molecules from high concentration to low concentration through a semi-permeable membrane. It is a passive process. Osmosis is of two types i.e. exosmosis and endosmosis. It depends on solutes, relative temperature of the fluid, concentration, and pressure.
