How does biotech work?
"Biotechnology" means that the appliance of science and engineering within the direct or indirect use of living organisms, or elements or products of living organisms, in their natural or changed forms. This term is extremely broad and includes the employment of ancient or typical breeding, furthermore as additional fashionable techniques like genetic engineering. Biotechnology, through genetic engineering, works directly with the genetic material of a cell. If we tend to examine a cell through a microscope, we might see long, thread-like structures referred to as chromosomes. These chromosomes, composed of DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid), area unit organized into sections referred to as genes. Genes manage the assembly of explicit proteins, and proteins, in turn, verify the characteristics of an organism. In some cases, a sequence might govern one organism's resistance to sickness, whereas in different cases, characteristics could also be determined by several genes.
