How can government protect our environment ?
Environmentalists often suggest that the government is morally obligated to protect the environment as pollution is a cost in which an industrialist can escape and feel irresponsible for it but society as a whole is bearing that cost. so often environmentalists suggest that some economic growth can be sacrificed to achieve better health of the environment.
So, the government is responding to it by implementing environmental protection policies like the 1963 Clean Air Act, 1972 Clean Water Act, and the 1974 safe Drinking Water Act. pollution is a problem of society and not of an individual, so if the problem is related to society then the government has a role to play and solve the problem.
