**Icon Key:**
- The red 'X' indicates an incorrect answer.
- The green check mark (✔️) indicates correct answers.
**Note:**
When evaluating the problem, ensure your calculations for the test statistic are accurate and refer to the appropriate statistical tables for the correct p-value range. The conclusion is based on the comparison between the p-value and the significance level, α = 0.05.](/v2/_next/image?url=https%3A%2F%2Fcontent.bartleby.com%2Fqna-images%2Fquestion%2F52390996-0048-48b9-99d6-ecc2feddac1b%2F9ec2724d-45a6-466f-a05a-063f504b59b6%2Fe02hrc_processed.png&w=3840&q=75)

**Question 1 of 12**
**Problem Statement:**
During the first 13 weeks of the television season, the Saturday evening 8:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. audience proportions were recorded as follows:
- ABC: 30%
- CBS: 26%
- NBC: 23%
- Independents: 21%
A sample of 300 homes two weeks after a Saturday night schedule revision yielded the following viewing audience data:
- ABC: 91 homes
- CBS: 69 homes
- NBC: 86 homes
- Independents: 54 homes
Test with α = 0.05 to determine whether the viewing audience proportions changed.
**Instructions:**
Find the test statistic and p-value. (Round your test statistic to two decimal places. Use Table 3 of [Appendix B](#))
**Solution:**
**Test statistic =** 6.40 ❌
**p-value is** between 0.05 and 0.10 ✔️
**Conclusion:**
There is **no significant** ✔️ change in the viewing audience proportions.
**Feedback:**
