Expert Solution
Step 1

a) Type of sugar : Reducing sugar

This sugar is reducing sugar. C-sugar tell you it is a reducing sugar because at anomeric carbon free OH group is present and it's shows mutarotation.

Step 2

b) linkage type between sugars B and C

If you see the B and C sugars then this sugars have glycosidic bond between two carbons one Carbon is anomeric carbon of a Sugar and it's attached with C1 carbon and it is beta anomer and another carbon C3 carbon which forming glycosidic bond with C1 carbon.

So, type of glycosidic linkage between A and B is : beta-1,3 linkage
