Expert Solution
Step 1-Introduction

The basic constituent of a substance is known as an atom that has a nucleus consisting of protons and neutrons. The electrons surround the nucleus with a negative charge. The combination of atoms produces a molecule with a definite composition.

The moles of the substance are obtained by relating the mass and the molar mass. Mathematically, it is expressed as follows.

Number of moles=Mass in 'g'Molar mass in 'g/mol'

If the molar mass of a substance is increased with a constant mass, then the number of moles gets decreased.
