few weeks ago, President Biden introduced a $2 trillion plan to fix America's infrastructure and build up our economy.  Infrastructure has typically included roads, bridges, tunnels, rail lines, and water pipes.  However, many people would also include internet broadband, since it's becoming very difficult for people to function in the modern world without solid and dependable internet access.  The Biden plan also includes money for education and job training, which the president believes it's key to improving our economy.  The plan focuses on environmental sustainability in order to reduce global warming.   Obviously this proposal is very expensive.  To pay for it, the Biden Administration is proposing an increase in the corporate tax rates from 21% to 28%.  (they were reduced during the Trump Administration) and elimination of loopholes in U.S. tax laws that allow many companies to move their money to other countries.   Right now, Republicans are united in opposition to the plan.  They believe it will cost too much money and are opposed to raising taxes on corporations.  However, almost everyone agrees that America's infrastructure is in terrible shape (just look at our roads in Michigan) and that something needs to be done to fix it.  President Biden sees his plan as a way to improve the American economy by creating many construction jobs. Based on what you know, do you support spending money to improve American infrastructure? Do you think corporate taxes should be raised as a way to fix it?
