Age, gender, race, sex, and amount, use to be very consistent. Anything outside of the traditional norms of uniting a family together by similar standards was unseen and frowned upon. People now have the freedom to form their love in inclusive manners, women are now able to escape domestic violence with more means of access, and children have more security when parenting fails. The newer family structures are positive aspects to cultivating our ideas on diversity. Children are able to go to school with more children from dynamic backgrounds, allowing them to understand more about diversity than previous years.
