Aspect is the direction of the compass needle that generally faces towards the direction of the topographic slope.
We can say in the figure the Southern aspect of the land is warmer than the Northern aspect of the area so we must have more dense vegetation in the northern Area than the Southern one.
For example the Santa Monica Mountains of California having the North aspect on the left side this is dominated by moisture and densely vegetated, but on the right side the south aspect are much drier and facing direct sun rays having less vegetation.
Aspect have very great impact on temperature. In the northern hemisphere most of the part are shaded because of the Earth's axis tilted so the Norther aspect revives less sun rays.
Due to this reason the Southern side remains dry and there present less energy than the Northern aspect for support vegetation.
