Explain the role of chinese society.
China, throughout its history, was ruled by important families that were known as dynasties. The first one was the Shang Dynasty and the last dynasty was the Qing Dynasty. Ancient China started with the Qin Dynasty when the whole of China was united in 221 BC. After that, various emperors ruled China for a period of more than 2,000 years. In ancient times, most of the lands in China were governed by the feudal system.
In the feudal system, lords owned the land and the fields were tended by the farmers. But this feudal system came to an end in the late middle ages. Then, civil service officials ruled the empire. They gathered taxes and imposed various laws. Throughout the history of China, art, culture and religion have always been tied together. The ideas of philosophies of Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism were widespread in China.
