Explain the regulation of testosterone secretion

Testosterone is referred to as the steroidal hormone that is principally responsible for developing secondary sexual characteristics within males.
The secretion of testosterone is principally regulated by hypothalamus gland and pituitary gland present within the brain. The hypothalamus sends the chemical signal to the pituitary gland to produce gonadotrophic components these include luteinizing and follicle stimulating hormone. Testosterone production is stimulated by luteinizing hormone. If there is excess of testosterone, the hypothalamus sends the signal to stop releasing hormone to the pituitary gland, which causes a decrease in the level of testosterone in the blood.
