Explain the division and types of pteridophytes?

Pteridophytes are the first to land vascular plants. They're also called Plant amphibians. The plant body is distinct into leaf, stem, roots. Leaves are characterized by the presence of a single vein and young leaves, and the stem is erect or thallus like an underground stem. These are seedless plants and are green plants thanks to the presence of Chlorophyll. Example — Pteris, Equisetum.

Pteridophytes have divided into four division on the idea of Ward law: (a) Psilopsida: The members' are  sporophytic, roots are absent.  root stock bears tufts to animate thing  rhizoids. The branching is typically divided kind. The procreative organs are within the kind of sac-like sporangia and therefore, the  Sporangia forever bearing a similar kind of spores (i.e Homosprous). Sex organs are part embedded within the  prothallus.

(b) Lycopsida: It embodies each fossil and living pteridophytes e.g. , .: fern genus. The plant body is sporophytic and may be differentiated into roots, stem, and leaves. The leaves  are little, easy with a single middle vein. they're sometimes spirally organized. Leaf gaps are absent. Sporophylls are loosely organized and type  strobilus. 

(c) Spenospsida: It embodies each fossil plants additionally as living plants. The plant body is sporophytic and may be differentiated into roots, stem, and leaves. The stem is divisible into nodes and inter nodes. Leaves  are little, thin, scaly brown, and are organized in athwart wise whorl on nodes of aerial branches. Sporangia are developed at the apex of the fertile branches in whorlsform compact cones.

(d) Pteropsida: It includes ferns plant. They occur in altogether kinds of habitats. Most of the ferns  are terrestrial and like to grow in wet and shady places , and a few  is aquatic. Leaves are easy , and enormous. Vegetative replica takes place by fragmentation, stem tubers, or by  apomixis. Sporangia arise from the placenta in teams. The sporangia in most cases have a definite annulus and stomium. The embryo could or could not have a protective garment.
