Explain the Conditions Requiring for Drainage.
Expert Solution

Step 1
Drainage is defined as a method of removing the excess of water from the surface and below the surface. It can be done naturally or artificially.
Step 2
The requirements for outdoor systems are given below.
- The diameter of pipes should be at least 100 mm.
- The minimum angle between the discharge pipe and pipe is 90°.
- The installation depth of the pipeline should be at least 0.5 m except for areas where vehicles may ride for these areas it should be 0.7 m at least.
- The inspection chambers should be made for regular cleaning and maintenance of pipelines.
- There should not be any displacement in connections of the pipeline as the integrity of the system is disturbed due it.
- For areas which intersect with highways, areas with increased load the pipes, which can withstand the load of vehicles and pedestrians, should be installed.
