American Federalism:
American federalism is composed of legislation, executive, and judicial branch and substantial distribution or decentralization of power and shared subjects for policymaking, etc. Subjects are divided according to the requirement and aspirations of the citizens. For example, subjects or issues like Medicaid or healthcare and K12 education are largely shaped by federal & state executive and legislation branches.
Other Policies: There are other policies or topics such as immigration, marijuana, and gun laws made by the states and the citizen's initiatives. While Same-Sex marriages are legalized by the federal courts in so many states. So that, different institutions work on the different issues or subjects.
