Explain Origins and Operations of the silk road
It is the network that connects China with the west evoking the memories of two great civilizations of China and Rome. its is the trade connections that send wools, gold, and silver to east and silk to west. It's the memories of Han Dynasty established by Zhang Quian. It was a black market of illegal money, drugs and famous with hackers. Its an incredibly dangerous travel route with deserts, mountains, poisonous animals and destruction winds.
The officially opened trade route of China in 130 B.C stretches from China and throughout Mesopotamia covering India, Asia Minor, Egypt, the African continent, Greece, Rome, and Britain. From West Horses, Saddles and Riding Tack, The grapevine and grapes, Dogs and other animals both exotic and domestic, Animal furs and skins etc. crosses to East and Silk, Tea, Dyes, Precious Stones, China (plates, bowls, cups, vases), Porcelain, Spices (such as cinnamon and ginger) etc. The name itself is due to the heavy movement of silk through the routes.
Today the route is important with its economic and cultural importance. The route is the connection that spread ideologies, cultures and religious exchanges exposing the people to new beliefs, systems of government, literary genres etc.
