A cerebral aneurysm is defined as bulging of the vessels present in the brain, it may lead to bleeding with in the brain It looks like a berry hanging on the stem of the brain. It is sometimes known as hemorrhagic stroke. This occurs mostly in the space between the brain and the covering of the brain.
A cerebral aneurysm develops by thinning the artery walls in the brain. It mainly occurs at the branches of the arteries because these branches are weaker as compare to others. An aneurysm can appear in any part of the brain, but they are most common in arteries. The risk of developing aneurysm increases as you get older. This happens because as the age increase the vessels become weakened
Effects:
When the person is suffering from a cerebral aneurysm the direct effect is on the head. Sudden, severe headache may happen due to rupture in the vessels
- Nausea and vomiting may occur
- A person may feel numbness of one side of the face and loss of consciousness
- pain above or behind the eye
- Diplopia may occur
