Explain how a pulmonary embolus can cause immediate
death.

Blood clot:
It is the normal process to prevent bleeding. Usually the body automatically breaks the clot, but in certain conditions, the body might not be able to break the clots, resulting in serious complications.
What is Pulmonary Embolism (PE) ?
A blood clot that forms in one part of the body, breaks and travels to another area of the body, and this is called an embolus that blocks the blood vessel and stops the blood flow to the organ. This process is called embolism. PE is a blood clot formed in a blood vessel in the body, mostly in the leg. It then travels to a lung artery where it suddenly blocks blood flow.
Clots formed in the veins are called venous clots, and these are formed in the deep veins of the leg, called deep vein thrombosis (DVT).
The most common symptoms of PE include shortness of breath, chest pain, anxiety, palpitations, sweating, low BP, dizziness, and DVT related symptoms like swelling and pain in the leg. Since these symptoms are too similar to various disease conditions, they are hard to diagnose.
