Purchase department sends request for quotations to at least 3 vendors and selects the vendor with lowest cost. The purchase department then creates a purchase order for the selected vendor and sends the purchase order to vendor. The purchase orders are signed by Manager Material usually but if the value of purchase order is greater than Rs. 1,000,000 the purchase order is singed by General Manager.
