Ethanol is a primary alcohol that can be used as an antiseptic, a polar solvent, and even fuel. There are few methods of producing ethanol Industrially. One of the issues in ethanol/bioethanol production is its downstream processing, which is the ethanol/bioethanol recovery from the liquid mixture to achieve high purity. As a chemical engineer, you are required to team up with another three or four other engineers and design the best current technique for ethanol recovery with purity above 85%. Each group should select different purity for the report. 1. Process Background (WP3 - Depth of analysis) - Provide raw material for producing ethanol/bioethanol - Provide the process selection - Provide a clear elaboration of the process in ethanol/bioethanol recovery

1. Process Background (WP3 - Depth of analysis)
- Provide raw material for producing ethanol/bioethanol
- Provide the process selection
- Provide a clear elaboration of the process in ethanol/bioethanol recovery
- Provide a clear and complete understanding of design goals and constraints of the process selection.
- Propose a process/technique in ethanol/bioethanol recovery and justify your selection by considering the major factors such as selectivity, cost (i.e production cost, including cost of raw material, cost of equipment etc), efficiency, impact on the environment, safety issues, etc.
- Provide your proposed Process Flow Diagram (PFD) for ethanol/bioethanol production, which includes complete streams label, equipment numbering/tagging, and at least two operating conditions
