If we discuss democratic society then few prominent characteristics should function actively within society. These include freedom of speech, right to association and assembly, equality, right to vote, citizenship, right to life and liberty etc. A democratic society should have people’s vigorous authority in deciding and deliberating the legislation either directly or through representation. These are actually two different forms of democracy i.e., direct or representative. Tolerance, cooperation and compromise are the key values that a democratic society should inherit.
